Phish fan and NYC film/video editor David Madden will run the ING New York City Marathon in November, and has invited friends and fans to sponsor his run by donating to the Mockingbird Foundation. And, he’ll match the first $250 in donations!
You can support David – and music education for children – by credit card, debit card, Paypal account, or bank debit, through the link below; or, you can write a check made payable to The Mockingbird Foundation and mail it to The Mockingbird Foundation, c/o The Godards, 6948 Luther Circle, Moorpark, CA 93021.
Every dollar counts and will support music education programs for children. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that has been operated by volunteers for more than ten years — there is no paid staff, or office. Your donation is fully tax-deductible.
David is the second Phish fan to raise funds for the Foundation by running, and this will be the fifth race run for Mockingbird. If you’re running – in a marathon, a part thereof, or some other race – and would like to similarly support the Foundation, please contact us.
David Madden currently lives in New York City and works as a film/video editor. He recently had the pleasure of working with photographer/director Danny Clinch on a “Best of Bonnaroo” project for TV. He is originally from Long Island, though he has never met Colonel Forbin. He saw Phish for the first time at Jones Beach in the summer of 1994 (the first solar-powered Phish show), and has since traveled far and wide to catch them at every feasible opportunity. He is turning 30 years old this summer, and in November, he is running in the ING New York City Marathon, which navigates through all of the five boroughs of the city for 26.2 miles. This is his first marathon.
