We are saddened to share the news of the passing of Brenton (“Brent”) Washburn on October 1st. From his wife, Megan:

“He loved Phish. He saw 103 shows, with his 100th show being Sunday in Chicago this year, and his last show being at Dick’s this fall (we did all three shows). We had plans to go to Vegas for Halloween. He introduced me to the band (they were on hiatus when we met and I’d never heard of them). My first show was the Hampton reunion shows with him and we saw 75 shows together. He was an avid poster collector and most in those circles would know him as mewash2 on phishposters and other sites.”

Memorial donations may be made to the fan-run Mockingbird Foundation or the band’s own Waterwheel Foundation.
