Artistas Y Músicos Latino Americanos (AMLA) is a non-profit arts and artist’s organization founded in 2006 in North Philadelphia. A subsidiary of corporation of Esperanza, Inc., the mission of AMLA is to promote the development, dissemination and understanding of Latin American music and culture in the Philadelphia/Delaware Valley Region, strongly emphasizing youth learning.

The non-profit draws on the history and programming of Asociación de Músicos Latino Americanos (Asociación also formerly known as AMLA) which was founded in 1982 by 125 Latino musicians with the goal to counter the misrepresentation of Latino culture and to serve as advocates for better working conditions for Latino musicians in the community.

This April, Artistas Y Músicos Latino Americanos was the recipient of a $5,000 grant from the Mockingbird Foundation. Click here to learn more.
